Jill had everything we needed to make it a home away from home. She even had directions to all local scenic adventures. The dogs were great companions on our walks in the woods and down to the creek. We loved being unplugged for a couple of days.
Jill and her husband are the nicest people. Be sure to get a burger in Oark. Great place to disconnect from the city and reconnect with nature. You are off the grid so plan accordingly and follow Jill's directions.
Also roads around this area can be very rough to drive on so I would advise to take a truck or SUV. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay this is the best.
I drove my Toyota carmry without issues. Thanks Jill for the perfect adventure!! The cabin is so cute and located in a gorgeous part of the area. Many hikes nearby, beautiful views and very nice owners who made us feel at home! We only stayed for one night, but were able to take 3 hikes in the area.

I hope to return in the future as I was not ready to leave! Thank you Jill for the most amazing time and for letting us stay in your awsome cabin! The peacefulness of this location is spectacular. Or stay longer and base out of for your adventures. The animals on the property are nothing but fun and loving. Would highly recommened to any people visiting the Ozark National Forest. Even to have as a plan B, if the campsite does not go as planned. This bed and breakfast on the farm is amazing.
Tracy and John are fantastic hosts and will make sure you have a great stay. Tracy added special extras for the kids and John took us on a fun tour of the property, which of course included meeting and feeding the cows! Overall it exceeded expectations and we will definitely tell our friends about it. The property is beautiful and her tasty breakfast is a real treat! Country Mountain Retreat was the perfect place for me, my 21 year old son, and 15 year old daughter to stay after a day of hiking in the Ozarks.
We immediately felt comfortable. It's a quaint farmhouse: clean, cozy, and roomy. The location is gorgeous- views out all the windows are lovely- rolling hills, cattle, mountains in the distance.
We had Tracy make our dinner- we highly recommend this option! Best steaks we've ever had. One of the highlights was the sweet month-old Angus calf that was staying near the house. He was tame and spoiledand Tracy's husband and daughter were nice enough to let me give it her bottle. We devoured breakfast- sausage, egg, and cheese croissants- Tracy really is an amazing chef!
We highly recommend this place, and we look forward to coming again for our next hiking trip to the Ozarks. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and were having a great time. From the time we arrived, we felt right at home on their beautiful property - on top of a mountain with with sweet cows surrounding the house, and plenty of activities to enjoy the outdoors.
Tracy and John were just the most thoughtful hosts- I asked if she had a baking dish and within minutes there was a knock at the door- John even brought slices of pie for dessert.
Same with the AMAZING cinnamon rolls- a gallon of milk was brought for us to enjoy, even slices of fresh watermelon to compliment our breakfast burritos. If you are staying in the Ozarks, staying with them is a MUST - they will make your vacation even more memorable.
John and Tracy are very kind, their home is a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of adventure. We chose biscuits and gravy one morning and cinnamon rolls the next, both were delicious!
Great views! The owners are very sweet. And had everything ready for an amazing thanksgiving. Would definitely stay again.
What a great weekend! Communication was exceptional and the camper was very well appointed. We will look forward to a return visit. A little off the beaten path but it was what I was looking for.
Hank was the perfect host, leaving snacks for my 10 year old son. Entertainment center, fridge freezer and even a nice size bathroom.
Unfortunately it rained out our campfire in the huge Fire Pit but he had some great family DVDs that kept us cozied up in his massaging recliners. Hank is Friendly, Courteous and Thoughtful Our stay was relaxing and very quiet. Having owned and used RVs in the past I must say this was top notch. Very clean and the bed was really comfortable, it was just what we needed after a long, long drive from Gallup, NM.
Our host went above and beyond expectations by txt us from town asking if we need anything. He is very meticulous in the way he keeps the RV in it's appearance and cleanliness.
I plan to visit the Ozarks again and hope that it will be available. This was our first time experience in RV and it exceeded my expectations. He even had camp fire pit ready with lot of logs. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.
Follow Host direction. We only stayed one night but this was a the perfect stay for us. They were quick to respond with any of our questions while traveling and even though this was a very last minute stay, had the place sparkling clean, ready and waiting.
Such a delight! We will be making this our place to stay when in town again. This little camper is cozy and VERY clean. You should know that this camper sits on a concrete pad that is right outside their house, so it's definitely not private.
However, it IS in the woods and Hank and Judy were very good to be available to us but not intrusive. The fact that we were staying in their yard didn't bother us one bit. Although we didn't see a bear, we did hear an owl as we sat on the patio in the red zero-gravity chairs under the camper's awning at night.
I highly recommend this place. It was very well kept, very clean, sweet hosts, cute little adds that made it feel so homey. Very clean, upscale camper in the beautiful ozark mountains. It was so comfortable with homey decorations and nice size shower for a camper. Very comfy bed and a great price, I would definitely recommend staying here.
Easy to find and friendly hosts, felt very safe and welcome. Camp was clean and fully stocked. Easy water access. My boys loved fishing and floating the river. My grandpa who is 85 had no issues getting down to water to fish. Quiet and secluded but minutes to town. Great place to explore the Ozarks, especially if using ATVs. Landy was very responsive and the cabin had plenty of information about local trails.
Landy's cabin is a fantastic place to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while. Beautiful scenery and the sound of the river right off the back deck makes for a great experience! Landy is fantastic with answering questions and overall communication.
Great destination!! Would highly recommend it!! Landy was always available for any questions we had, no matter how small! There were 4 of us, and, we had MORE than enough room. We would definitely recommend this place to others. We will be back!! The riverside location provided great morning views and there was plenty of space for all of the guys to comfortably lounge around and sleep.
The drive there was only minimally tedious, as the dirt roads were hit by several days worth of rain. The cabin was spacious and very comfortable excellent AC!!
Landy was quick to respond to any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our days wading, kayaking, and fishing the river and our evenings playing games and watching movies. We appreciated having the WiFi available as well. We never had a need to leave his property. Can't wait to go back next summer! Wonderful stay with a beautiful, peaceful view. The yurt is very clean with a comfy bed, and plenty of room inside.
We enjoyed watching the sunset over the trees while eating our takeout dinner from the town about 10 minutes away. Highly recommended! The yurt is very neat and extremely cozy place to stay. An extremely great place to go just to get away from everything. It is close to all of the wineries and right next to the best tasting room of them all, Dionysus. Dennis is an extremely hospitable and can tell you anything that you want to know about the area and the wineries. No television, which is absolutely great!
I highly recommend staying at the yurt and Dionysus. What a sweet getaway! All the detailed touches in the yurt made it really amazing, and he location on the wine trail is awesome! Despite a small amount of road noise from I40 in the distance, it really felt pretty private. For a quick get away in central Arkansas this is an excellent gem in the mountains! Every couple should venture this way once in their journey together! Adorable yurt with great hillside country views.
Perfect for unplugging from the world, sunset watching and stargazing. We did not have any difficulty finding the cabin. The grounds are tidy and secluded. The amenities are generally as stated.
We experienced some difficulty with the shower temperature, but I understand that has been resolved. There was television and Wi-Fi that seemed adequate. The host was very responsive. Such an amazing host! Thank you!
Amazing place! Great cabin in the woods!!! We enjoyed the fire pit and bonded with the sweet cat and dog that lived on the property. The cabin was very clean and we all appreciated the great snacks that were provided. We unfortunately were there for just a short time but definitely enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, roomy, quiet, quaint, and just overall incredibly peaceful.
We could have not asked for a more perfect space in the Ozarks. Our goal for our weekend was to spend our days hiking and come back to a relaxing atmosphere at night with all the modern amenities.
During the day, we had full access to the property since there wasn't an event so we really enjoyed walking around and taking our family photos. The fire pit was also a great touch because there were plenty of large comfy chairs and all the supplies was provided. When we arrived, there was a backup key in case the door combination worked, which was great, and we walked into a very comfortable little cabin.
We had everything we needed. Matt had a bunch of local pamphlets on the table which were super helpful, but we were from out of state. We were able to decide, based on the information he left, which places to eat at and of course where to walk around. Matt knew we were coming to the Ozarks to hike so he also gave us some great recommendations on the "Must See" places.
Matt, if you read this It really was a natural wonder and we are so glad we experienced that hike. From Matt's property, it was a short 35 minute drive. Everything was really perfect and we want to also thank you for allowing us to bring our dog -- she enjoyed her time as well.
After a very long drive from New York to bring my son it was great to arrive at the cottage there were complementary snacks waters and coffee when we arrived. The cottage was beautiful inside and out the beds we very comfortable and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
We had a couple of four legged visitors a little cat and a beautiful dog that were very friendly so I really felt at home. I would recommend anyone visiting the Clarksville or surrounding area to stay at the cottages at sleepy hollow!
I loved our stay here!! We will for sure be coming back! If you are visiting the area, stay here! I cannot say enough good things. Wonderful location. Home had everything we needed. Very peaceful and great place to layback and unwind.
Good location - lots of good hiking trails within short drives. Nice property - enjoyed the fire pit. We took a day trip to Crystal Bridges - very doable.
Fort Smith is also very close. Great historic house with perfect river access for fishing and canoeing and nearby trails for hiking. An absolutely gorgeous property nestled in the Ozarks — we had an amazing stay. Peaceful, beautiful, highly recommend!
Cass House was the perfect place for my family to get away and reconnect. What a gem! The house and land it sits on are beautiful and fun to explore! There are also great trails nearby. The kitchen was well stocked and the house very clean both important to me with the kiddos. Also, Ben was quick to respond to any questions we had. Thank you for some beautiful memories! Cass House is a lovely, quite, relaxing home away from home. Lots of comfortable furniture where no one has to set on the floor or patio and lots of beautifully landscaped yard to enjoy the fireflies or large fire pit.
Even room for all six of our trucks and buggies! Great location for your home base to launch day trips into the Ozark mountains trails. Great house in a great location in the national forest with the mulberry river minutes away. A great place inside and out! Beautiful decorated cabin in the woods with modern amenities. Off the beaten path. Practically in the Ozark national park.
Great place to get in touch with nature. Our kids loved the waterfalls and swimming holes. This was such a nice trip. We stayed for the weekend, and it was so refreshing to be in the country! Matt responds very quickly if you need anything. Excellent place to stay! Enjoyed having the grilling space and fire pit. Great place for the family. This is one of the best places to stay at for a family vacation.
Not to mention the great value on everything that is included. The pond was one of our favorite amenities, lots of grilling and bonding time happened in this place. The owner was very understanding of our accommodations and even allowed us to bring our dog along. We were sad to leave and will be back as soon as we can. The location provided us with lots of nature while having a town with all of our necessities 10 minutes away.
Communication was stellar, instructions were clear and concise. Check-in was quick and easy. The cabin was nicely appointed. Loved petting the two dogs on the site. The beds were memory foam mattresses that slept really comfortably. Plenty of pillows also! We loved our stay in cottage 1. My daughter loved going to feed the geese and duck in the morning and evening.
We loved wandering around the property and relaxing on the porch. This cabin had everything that we could have wanted and was extremely clean. We had an issue with wasps as is normal in the country and Matt took care of it as soon as I messaged him.
He was very responsive and friendly. The gas grill and washing machine were an unexpected treat as our Coleman stove wouldnt work and I didn't have to do laundry when I got home. We would return! This cabin is amazing. The views are breathtaking. The decorations are what you would think of for a cabin and are very nice. Patrick and wife are an amazing hosts.
When we had a question he was there answer it. He even drew us maps to get a few places. We got to meet his goats, chickens and ducks. You are in remote area, so if you want something to cook buy before you get to cabin. Not a bad thing. Would stay here again!!!! The pictures of the surroundings do not do justice to the beauty and peace you will find here. Hosts are friendly and responsive. Highly recommended for a quick country getaway and big enough for a family event.
Patrick was a great host! He is very responsive, accomodating and willing to make sure that you have a memorable experience. The cabin was very accommodating and clean. We enjoyed playing pool, watching tv Dishusing the hot tub, and hanging out on the back patio.
Let me just say, the pictures don't do this place justice as the view is incredible! Best airbnb stay I have ever had and would book again without a second thought! Whether you are trying to get away for a weekend or host a retreat like I did, this gem is a great spot hidden in the belly of the Ozarks National Forest!
Patrick and his wife are amazing hosts. The view from the cabin is breathtaking - I can't explain in words how beautiful the sunset looks from the backyard. The cabin rooms were very clean and kitchen was well-stocked - we had a very comfortable stay. The host helped us in finding nearby tourist places as well, Patrick even offered us maps, tourist books which were very helpful. It was very sweet of him to let us hang out with his goats too : I should mention that it's not ideal to follow GPS to find the place we did and right away regretted itbut following Patrick's written directions are very easy to follow to reach the cabin.
We would definitely come back here :. Awesome host and lovely cabin. The view was amazing! Patrick took very good care of us. GPS sends you to a different location. I highly recommend! We were so happy with our stay here! Everything was perfect for a romantic getaway for 2, and it was honestly hard to leave to go home.
Definitely recommended! What a great space! We loved it. The property is lovely and the cabins are tastefully done and very accommodating. Highly recommend! We stayed here with our 2 dogs over the Labor Day weekend.
We wanted a location close to the Ozark National Forest to do some trail hiking with the dogs, and something that allowed us to get to Little Rock in order to do some day exploring. The cottage is absolutely beautiful! The little extras were such a nice surprise, such as a huge basket of various snacks to take whatever we wanted, tons of bottled water, coffee, tea, condiments, makeup remover wipes, shampoo, conditioner and anything else you can think of!
We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals and use the hot tub at the end of the day. It's such a pretty property. We will definitely return! Matt is a great, attentive host. Everything was seamless. This place is fantastic! It's so beautiful and the honeymoon suite is romantic. Matt really helped us adjust our check in time to earlier to to driving time. Place was spotless and the little snacks where superb. Absolutely the cutest and most relaxing get away. The cottage was well stocked and had extra small touches like games, movies and snacks.
The firepit and hot tub were very nice to enjoy on the cold nights. Love sleep hollow! This little cottage is perfect! My husband and I loved staying in Katie's cabin.
It was the perfect fall getaway right next to the lake. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed and then some! The whole cabin was exceptionally clean, which I really appreciate. We especially loved the firepit with wood provided. We are already thinking about planning a return trip in the future! This was the perfection location to hit both Mt. Magazine State Park and Whitaker Point for some hiking in the same weekend.
It was about an hour drive to each. Adorable and very new cabin with a beautiful view of the lake. It was super clean, and easy to get to off the main roads. The place is spotless and really cozy. Loved being near the forest. They have thought of everything. Great stay. This is one place you can walk-in like a hotel. The cabin was well stocked with all amenities which might not be available in hotel too. Its 1 hour drive from Mount Magazine or Petit Jen state park.
This cabin is a perfect little place to get away. The space is freshly updated and still smells like a new cabin. The deck, fire pit, and view of the lake is perfect for enjoying the great outdoors. The inside of the cabin is full of nice touches. The hosts were very quick to respond and made checking in and out super easy and laid back.
Will certainly stay there again if staying in the area again. Very cute, nice cabin. Very clean. Had all the basic amenities such as paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, towels, extra pillows, blankets. Pictures really doesn't do it justice. Nice covered patio, would highly recommend. Hands down best Airbnb experience I've ever had. Scott is an awesome host who will go out of his way to make you feel at home! His home is absolutely gorgeous with the most amazing view!! I highly recommend staying at this home!
I can not say enough about the beautiful home or wonderful host. Thank you so much Scott for all that you did! I truly hope we can stay at your house again!!!
The home sits high above the lake which gives you a breathtaking view. The house had a well equipped kitchen for cooking.
The beds were very comfortable. Every bedroom has a nice television and two living spaces with televisions. The view out the oversized windows and the large decks will keep you outside. We loved sitting outside on the deck and listening to the birds it was very relaxing.
There is a bald eagles nest across the lake we watched all day with binoculars so cool!! There is a large heater, extra blankets and comfortable furniture on the deck. Scott was close by he met us when we got there. His Dog Goldie was so sweet. Absolutely awesome cabin!
